About Us

Our Mission
At the Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation, our mission is clear: to alleviate poverty and impact lives by providing access to essential healthcare services. We believe that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their circumstances. Through our initiatives, we strive to empower communities and foster positive change.
Our Initiatives
Since our inception, we have worked tirelessly to fulfill our mission. Our foundation's inaugural medical outreach took place in December 2019 in Delta State, Nigeria. This transformative event, held at the Obada Farm House in Agbarho and the Agbarho General Hospital, aimed to reach out to the poor and less privileged who struggle to access affordable healthcare services.
Outreach Expansion
Building on the success of our initial outreach, we expanded our efforts with a second medical event. This time, we extended our services to a broader area, offering free dental procedures, eye surgeries, general surgeries, and more. To ensure inclusivity, we provided transportation for community members in need.

Welcome to the Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation

The Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation was established with a profound commitment to transforming lives and uplifting communities through the provision of essential healthcare services. Our journey began as a tribute to the enduring spirit of compassion and resilience, and it continues to be driven by a deep-seated belief in the power of community and the right to quality healthcare for all.

One of our significant efforts includes organizing large-scale medical outreaches where we bring together medical professionals and volunteers to deliver free healthcare services to those who lack access. These events have made a tangible impact, offering procedures such as dental treatments, eye surgeries, and general surgeries. To maximize our reach and effectiveness, we also coordinate transportation for community members, ensuring they can access the care they need without additional barriers.

ABOUT OUR FIRST OUTREACH

The inaugural Onome Omobolaji Obada Medical Outreach, held from December 1st to 7th, 2019, marked a significant milestone for the foundation. Located in Delta State, Nigeria, this week-long event aimed to provide essential healthcare services to members of the community who lacked access to medical care. The outreach was strategically held at two primary locations: the Obada Farm House in Agbarho and the Agbarho General Hospital in Delta State.

These venues were chosen to maximize the reach of the medical services and ensure accessibility for those in need. The team of dedicated healthcare professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the week to offer a wide range of medical services, including general health check-ups, consultations, dental surgeries, and treatments for various ailments. Additionally, preventive healthcare measures such as immunizations and health education sessions were provided to promote overall well-being within the community.
One of the key objectives of the outreach was to address the specific healthcare needs of the poor and less privileged individuals who often faced barriers to accessing medical services due to financial constraints or geographic isolation.

By bringing essential healthcare services directly to their doorstep, the Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation aimed to bridge this gap and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Through the collective efforts of the foundation's team and volunteers, the inaugural medical outreach succeeded in reaching a significant number of individuals and families in Delta State.

The success of the first Onome Omobolaji Obada Medical Outreach laid the foundation for future initiatives, inspiring the foundation to continue its mission of alleviating poverty and improving lives through healthcare interventions.

Touching Lives: Our Second Medical Outreach

In January 2024, the Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation embarked on its second medical outreach, making a significant impact on the health and well-being of communities in Warri and its environs. This transformative event, held at Central Hospital Warri, aimed to provide essential healthcare services to indigenes who lacked access to affordable medical care.
Inclusive Approach
Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, we ensured that no one was left behind. Indigenes of the Agbarho community, despite their geographic distance, were provided with daily transportation to Central Hospital Warri, ensuring they could access the same level of care as their counterparts in the city.
Impactful Results
The 2024 one-week medical outreach was a resounding success, with a grand total of 3,701 patients seen. Among the services provided were 2,089 medical consultations, 1,834 laboratory tests, 589 dental procedures, 391 dispensed eye glasses, 75 eye surgeries, 111 general surgeries, and much more. These impressive numbers highlight the significant impact of our efforts in improving the health and well-being of individuals and families in the community.
Continuing Our Mission
The success of our second medical outreach reaffirms our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to our mission of alleviating poverty and improving lives through compassionate healthcare interventions. Together, we can create a healthier, more equitable future for all.
